The AutoConference LA is a half-day event co-hosted by J.D. Power and NADA. Now in its sixth year, the event focuses on the industry in the western United States with a special emphasis on the California/LA marketplace. Preceding the LA Auto Show, the conference is expected to attract over 400 attendees from across the automotive industry, including manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, marketers and advertisers.
The National Automobile Dealers Association's story began in 1917 when 30 auto dealers traveled to the nation’s capital to convince Congress not to impose a luxury tax on the automobile. They successfully argued that the automobile is a necessity of American life, not a luxury. From that experience was born the National Automobile Dealers Association.
